Noche de la Papas (Night of the Potatoes)

Rio Bueno (a branch is our district) had an activity put on by the missionaries and the ward mission leader.  Everyone brought food made from potatoes.  I tried to think of something I could bring but everything I thought of had to be served hot and there is no microwave in the kitchen nor do I have a crockpot so----- I made potato rolls.  I brought them to the activity and had people asking me (checking up on me and my donation) "Are there potatoes in those?  You were supposed to bring something with potatoes in them."  I was able to say that yes, they had potatoes in them.  Everyone, except the missionaries, were a little hesitant to eat them, but I had a sister missionary tell me later that they were a hit.  One of her investigators came to the table and put two rolls in her pockets to eat later and then she sent her husband to get two more!  Sweet success!

Winter Giving Way to Spring

Winter is finally giving way to spring.  Many of these flowers
remind me of my childhood California home:
azaleas, rhododendrens, camellias
